this time of year the people of Gubbio start to get ready for christmas -- they begin to put up this christmas tree. these lights on their hillside take 3 months to erect. the lights turn on december 7.The Guiness book of world records claim this is the largest christmas tree on earth! it is something like 21/2 miles high and 2 miles wide. we won't be here to see it lit, but we can see the wires being put up.
as for the temperature this time of year........, the weather is still warm enough for short sleeves and only a sweatshirt at night!
