holy skirts....

is a  novel i have started reading and so far i love it.  it takes place in 1904 germany burlesque shows and culture.  it's so very well written -
also a novel i am nearly finished with is called "the help".

anyone out there read either book?

i just want to take a second here and shout out to ted, my high school boyfriend -  to wish him a happy birthday.  its only been what? 40 years?  i just can't believe how fast time flies.  happy b-day ted.

Well, I did start reading it, but found it to be totaly bizarre and didn't finish it. I don't know why it didn't "take" for me. My best friend the librarian has recommended "The Help." Are you liking it?
I have had a tendency for a year to start books and then quit in the middle. I don't know what's wrong with me...

Not read Holy Skirts. I am reading the The Rape of Europe which is of course the attack on so far entarde de kunst. And then I do have my beautiful copy of Degenerate Art which is out of print but I just got a copy in the mail not long ago.

two of my best friends, who are avid readers like me, have read and loved THE HELP. I can't wait to buy it or find it at the Library. are you enjoying it?
