tonight's xmas assignment

since i am an Artist on Call for Inspirations magazine, i get some fun stuff for free to play with and create to share with readers of the magazine and i guess i get to share it with the readers of this blog as well.
so, i got this cool dye (ink) in a spray bottle called "memories mist" this color is called "plum sake". it is a delicious color. i am still exploring unusual color combinations and unconventional xmas colors.
for this vintage look, i first coated a portion of the chip board with gesso. once dried, i sprayed the board with "plum sake". it soaked in; in a deeper hue where there was no gesso. next i gessoed a stamp of a wreath (stampington) and stamped it onto the card. once this dried, i painted in the leaves with olive green.
this is not done, i will add a small amount of green glitter here and there on the leaves and possibly write in a greeting with a gel pen. also, i will probably put a nice cloth ribbon in the top hole.
this is a magnetic tag that i used as a support. a magnetic tag is made of chipboard and folds in half. the fold is clasped together with a hidden magnets. it is very fun and neat-o.
what do you think?
