student's work from a weekend long encaustic's workshop


encaustics:  painting with molten wax.
the students were very very busy.      they create tons of work.lots of it simply beautiful.interesting ideas.purely awesome.

not one of them had every done encaustic before. that was the amazing part.

Hi Lisa, Your students really did a beautiful job! Do you use any sort of varnish over the beeswax? I've read that some suggest that to get rid of the tackiness of it. Thanks, Geri
