i am followed by these faces....

 every time i go to paint a small canvas these faces appear.  i don't know who they are, but they are fun.  i create them by using my left hand (i'm right handed).

bird abstract....

happy birthday to my baby girl, rosie.  happy 17th.

two birds abstract...

i like to cut loose and do an abstract.  i let the painting tell me where it was headed then i responded stroke by stroke.  plus a bit of collage.   i had been playing with new color combinations using better paints than my normal cheapest brand.

headlamp girl.......

i just thought she looked wistful and  sheepishly curious.  i wish i had a headlamp/candle/flashlight/star/halo/light bulb/aura/ headlight/fizzy/ firefly/ dentists' light/electrical or battery operated thingy for my head.  i mean, i wish i could wear this without being put away in a straight jacket and away to the rubber room.

i see it's time for me to get a new scanner - mine has become a bit unhinged (much like the owner) and therefore blurs my image. (lower lip curled down).

the front girl is my mom.  they are looking a bit spiritual here.  i'm sure they weren't.  well, at least they weren't very much.  just my guess.

my daughter Rosamaria has been trying her hand at drawing.  this is a big breakthrough as she has always thought of me (exclusively) as the artist and herself as the studious math/english/french/economics/psychology and athlete, which she is.  but who says she can't do some art as well as study and swim?
of course there is room and time for it all.  if you ask me.......
